The above list shows that the West Indies are the most successful team having won two T20 World Cups; First year in 2012 and second in 2016. The Sri Lankan side, on the other hand, has played three finals of the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup, winning one of them and being runner-up in two finals.
Surprisingly, Australia has not won a single ICC T20 Men's Cricket World Cup so far while this team has won the most five ICC Cricket World Cups in the 50 over format. Although Australia played the final of the 2010 men's cricket T20 World Cup, it was defeated by England in the final.
