Final Fantasy 16 Gets a New Trailer, Will Launch in 2023

It's 120% action in the new trailer for the latest installment of the iconic Square Enix RPG franchise.

The title's first gameplay trailer showcases the massive monsters called Eikons and the Dominant humans that inhabit them, and presents chaotic, cinematic battle scenes in a medieval-inspired world.

Once Yoshi gave his talk, the gameplay trailer which has been aptly titled "Dominance", showed what fans can expect to see when the title launches for the PlayStation 5 in the Summer of 2023.

In the gameplay trailer, fans received a glimpse of the title's protagonist in Clive Rosfield, who will be battling it out against enemies of all kinds, using some of the franchise's iconic Eikons like Phoenix, Titan, Garuda, Ramuh, Shiva, Odin, Bahamut, and Ifrit.

Much of the trailer is dedicated to showing off the Summons' incredible size and powers. However, at the same time, we also see some of the combat gameplay and all the cool places that players will get a chance to visit as well.

So far, we haven't received a release date, as Square Enix has only mentioned a Summer 2023 release for the next mainline title of the series. However, in the end, it won't be long before players get to be behind the sticks of the PlayStation during the clash of Eikons in Final Fantasy XVI.

Valisthea— the setting for the protagonist Clive Rosfield’s arduous story. We would like to present a selection of screenshots to leave you with a glimpse into this realm.

The development team is currently in the process of further improving the game experience and quality, as well as optimizing the game for PlayStation 5. We hope you continue to stay tuned for more information as it becomes available!
